It has been my honour to serve as WCA’s President since Hilary McMahon and I acquired the agency in March 2025. We are proud to carry on the founding vision that earned the trust of so many incredible writers and illustrators.

I also manage media rights. I love helping our clients share their stories with new audiences in new formats, and I’m happiest when travelling in the overlapping spaces between publishing, film, television, theatre, podcasts, and more.

Before joining WCA, I studied film and English literature at the University of Toronto and completed the Creative Book Publishing Program at Humber College. While at Humber, I met Linda McKnight, then Vice President of WCA, who encouraged me to consider a career as a literary agent. I joined WCA in the summer of 2012 and held a variety of positions including Media Rights Manager.

In 2016 I left WCA to attend Osgoode Hall Law School where I served as a senior editor of the law journal and was awarded the Fogler, Rubinoff LLP Prize in Property Law among other academic accomplishments. Upon graduating and being called to the bar, I practiced in the Dispute and Litigation group at Torys LLP. My favourite part of being a lawyer is helping artists in the areas of defamation, intellectual property, and corporate law.

I returned to WCA in 2024. I am thrilled to once again be part of this amazing team.

In addition to my work as an agent, I maintain a law practice. I occasionally publish articles about the law, including on the topic of good legal writing.

  • Fiction: crime and mystery with a strong sense of place; upmarket literary fiction (especially stories involving family dynamics); sci-fi and fantasy.
