Numbers have always been an area of comfort for me and after having my son, I decided to go back to school full-time for accounting at Humber College. I graduated with an Advance Diploma in 2019 and was lucky enough to begin my career right out of college. I was gained experience in many different areas of the accounting world, including being a finance manager, a tax advisor, and of course, working in bookkeeping.
I specialize in automating files, processes, and implementing new ways for businesses to make the shift to a more digitized world. In 2020, the world came to a stand still when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and ultimately, that resulted in many small businesses needing to pivot on a dime to be able to switch to working remotely. I noticed that many small businesses struggled to adapt when becoming remote as digitizing of files and automating processes were more necessary than before. I saw an opportunity to help give those businesses a head-start in an overwhelming process and began contracting my services to help local small businesses become fully automated. Since then, I have been lucky enough to land my position at WCA as the bookkeeper and have been working on transforming our processes to become more automated ever since.
When I am not working, I find joy in giving back to the community. In my spare time I am the Sponsorship Director for the Royal York Baseball League, as well as Coach to one of their Senior T-Ball teams, Chair of the PTA at my children’s school, and spending as much time as I can with my family and friends. Reading books is also a passion of mine and I enjoy reading many different non-fiction categories, including self-improvement, lifestyle, cooking, and finance.
